Jill Brandwein is an emerging artist from New York. She studied painting and printmaking at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy, and the Arts Students League in New York. She was a fellow at the BAU Institute in Otranto, Italy and the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy.
Jill uses a variety of media, including painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, and photography. She is experimenting in sound and video art. This range reflects the content of her work, which is about collage: bringing together and recontextualizing unrelated fragments. She works as a freelance illustrator and is part of the studio team of French photographer and street artist JR.
